2.7.2
Parallel RGB Display Interface
The RZ/G1M/G1N Qseven SOM supports one Parallel RGB display interface on Expansion connector1. RZ/G1M/G1N
CPU’s
Display Unit (DU) is used for Parallel RGB888 interface. This DU has two independently controllable channels
DU0 & DU1 and either one can be configured to RGB888 interface DPAD pins.
The
RZ/G1M/G1N CPU’s DU supports
screen size up to 4095 × 2047 with different CRT scanning method like Non-
interlaced, interlaced sync, interlaced sync & video. It has four colour palette planes which can display 256 of 260
thousands colours at the same time. It also supports YC to RGB colour space conversions and vice versa.
For more details, refer Expansion connector1 pins 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 64, 66,
68, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 78 & 79 on
Note: In RZ/G1M/G1N CPU, DU1 & VIN1 (some pins) are multiplexed in same pins and so DU1 cannot be supported
when VIN1 is supported in 16bit mode. If VIN1 is supported in 8bit mode, then DU1 also can be supported.
2.7.3
Data UART Interface
The RZ/G1M/G1N Qseven SOM supports one UART interface on Expansion connector1 along with one more on Qseven
Edge connector and two on Expansion connector2. RZ/G1M/G1N
CPU’s
SCIF4 controller is used for Data UART
interface with only Transmit & Receive signal on Expansion connector1.
This SCIF module of RZ/G1M/G1N CPU has two 16-stage FIFO buffers separately for transmission and reception, which
enables fast, efficient, and uninterrupted full duplex communication. It has On-chip baud rate generator that allows
any bit rate to be selected. Also it supports DMA transfers.
For more details, refer Expansion connector1 pins 1 & 3 on
Note:
In RZ/G1M/G1N CPU, SCIF4 & VIN1 (some pins) are multiplexed in same pins and so SCIF4 cannot be supported
when VI1 is supported in 16bit mode. If VIN1 is supported in 8bit mode, then SCIF4 also can be supported.
