LVDS Display Interface
The RZ/G1M/G1N
CPU’s
display unit (DU) has two independently controllable channels DU0 & DU1 and supports LVDS
interface and RGB888 interface. In RZ/G1M/G1N CPU, LVDS interface is dedicatedly connected from DU0 and RGB888
interface can be connected either from DU0 or DU1. Using the DU0 and DU1, different images or the same image can
be displayed on two displays.
The RZ/G1M/G1N Qseven SOM supports one LVDS interface on Qseven Edge connector and one RGB888 interface on
Expansion connector1. The RZ/G1M/G1N
CPU’s
LVDS module converts an RGB signal output by the DU0 module to
the LVDS format. This LVDS output supports five differential output pairs (4 data and 1 clock) that conform to the
TIA/EIA-644 standard with dot clock operating frequency of 31MHz to 148.5 MHz. The LVDS interface supports 8
output data formats which can be selected by register settings.
The RZ/G1M/G1N
CPU’s
LVDS output is directly connected to primary LVDS channel of Qseven Edge connector. LVDS
panel power enable and LVDS panel backlight enable output are supported on Qseven Edge connector from
RZ/G1M/G1N CPU GPIOs GP7_25 and GP5_14 correspondingly. Also LVDS panel backlight brightness control output is
supported on Qseven Edge connector from RZ/G1M/G1N
CPU’s
PWM output (PWM3/TPU3).
For more details, refer Qseven Edge connector pins 99, 101, 103, 105, 107, 109, 111, 112, 113, 115, 119, 121 & 123

I2S Audio Interface
The RZ/G1M/G1N Qseven SOM supports one I2S audio interface port on Qseven Edge connector. RZ/G1M/G1N
CPU’s
SSI0 & SSI1 of SSIU is used for I2S interface. Also RZ/G1M/G1N Qseven SOM supports reset output on Qseven Edge
connector for carrier board Audio Codec from RZ/G1M/G1N CPU GPIO (GP2_13).
The RZ/G1M/G1N
CPU’s
serial sound interface (SSI) is a transceiver module designed to send or receive audio data
interfacing with a variety of devices offering I2S format. It also supports master/slave functions and multi-channel
format functions. The frequency range of SCK signal is from 297.3 kHz to 12.5MHz at master mode and from 297.3 kHz
to 15.1 MHz at slave mode. SSI Module supports TDM format operation at 44.1 or 48-kHz sampling rate.
