3.2.4.11.4 3861 SideCar Verification:
Install Test 3861 Side Car on Pump if SideCar is to
be used with pump. Press Pump (I) key and verify
Pump Power is On. Resume Therapy screen
appears, press Same Patient. Select Channel B and
verify the following:

Press Channel B (F6) soft key, press (F1) soft
key, set Rate of 83.2 and press ENTER. Press Up
arrow and set VTBI to 999 on start Channel B.
Unload set if necessary and ensure “Ready to Run
B”. Press START/STOP Channel B, and verify Green
(run LED) begins flashing on SideCar.

Occlude outlet line below SideCar Pump and
verify Red alarm LED on SideCar flashes and
Speaker Alarm sounds and message “PT Occluded
B” flashes on the screen.
3.2.4.11.7
Press (0) Power Off key for 2 seconds to Power
off Pump. Press and hold the CANCEL key and press
the Power On (I) key to enter Service Mode. Press
START/STOP Channel B key, verify Service Mode B
is now displayed. With IV Set installed, verify small
“b” at bottom of screen. Remove IV Set and verify
large “B” at bottom of screen.
Press (0) Power Off key for 2 seconds to Power Off
Pump. Remove Battery, then remove 3861 Test
SideCar.
3.2.5 10 Key Pad Verification (3860 only)
Press the Power On (I) key, Select New Patient (F1) and verify normal
Primary A display.
3.2.5.1
Using 10 key pad with Rate highlighted enter 123, verify tone
with each key press and then press enter verifying 123 entered in rate.
3.2.5.2
Using 10 key pad with VTBI highlighted enter 456, verify
tone with each key press and then press enter verifying 456 entered in
VTBI.
3.2.5.3
Using 10 key pad with Rate highlighted enter 789, verify tone
with each key press and then press enter verifying 789 entered in rate.
3.2.5.4
Using 10 key pad with VTBI highlighted enter 900, verify
tone with each key press and then, press C and verify VTBI displays 0.
Enter 999 Using 10 key pad, then press Enter.
3.2.5.5
Using 10 key pad with Rate highlighted enter 83.2, verify
tone with each key press and then press enter verifying 83.2 entered in
rate. Press Start A.
