3.2.4.9 Green Run and Red Alarm LED Verification:
Load a fluid filled set into the pump and close the door. Press
Power On (I) key, select New Patient and verify normal Pump
display. With the Rate 1.0 highlighted, press Enter again to
Select a VTBI of .1. Verify Pump Displays “Unload Set”, open
the door,remove Fluid filled tubing from Bubble detector at
bottom of Pump. Verify Display message changes to “Close
Door”. Close Door and verify “Close Door Message is removed
from top of screen and “Push Start A” is flashing at bottom of
screen. Press the start/stop key. Verify Green (run LED)
begins flashing. Open the Door and verify Red alarm Led
flashes and Speaker alarm sound. Press Alarm Cancel.
3.2.4.10 Sound Adjustment Verification:
Press the Menu Key then press (F3) to select Alarm Volume
menu item. With the Up & Down arrow keys verify the alarm
volume can be raised and lowered and saved to the
appropriate setting.
3.2.4.11 3860 Remote Radio Verification
Connect 106 db attenuator cable from Pump Antenna
Connector to Test Remote Antenna Connector or install
Antennas on both both Pump and Remote .

Press Power (I) on Pump. If New Patient and
Same Patient are displayed, press the (F1) soft key
to select New Patient to bring up the normal
Channel A display. From the normal Channel A
display, press MENU key, press (F6) soft key to
select Next Menu, press (F5) soft key to select Set
Comm. Channel, then press (F1) soft key to select
Channel 1.

Press power (I) on test Remote. If “No
Communications” displayed, press MENU key, press
(F6) soft key to select Next Menu, press (F5) soft
key to select Set Comm. Channel, then press (F1)
soft key to select Channel 1 and press Enter.

Check communication control between Pump and
Remote as follows:

On Remote, press (F1) soft key to
highlight Rate, then press Up arrow to set rate to
100 mL/hr, and then ENTER. With VTBI
highlighted press Up arrow and set VTBI to 200
mL. Load IV Set in Pump, verify Ready to Start is
displayed on both Pump and Remote. Press Start
Channel A Remote and verify green (run) LED is
flashing on both Pump and Remote.
