Hot-Swap Power Supply Bays
Note: The hot-swap feature enables you to remove and replace hard
disk drives, power supplies, and fans without turning off the
expansion unit.
Hot-Swap Fan Bays:
Your expansion unit has two
interchangeable hot-swap and redundant fan units. If one fan
fails, the second fan continues to operate. Each unit contains
two fans.
ESM Board Bay:
The environmental services monitor (ESM)
board provides a SCSI interface to the drives, and monitors
the overall status of the expansion unit. It is mounted in a
field replaceable unit (FRU), a component designed for
servicing by qualified service technicians only.

Your expansion unit has two
interchangeable hot-swap and redundant power supplies.
