Rear Controls, Indicators, and Connectors.
Option Switches:
Switch 1 controls the configuration of the
SCSI bus. Push the switch OFF or down to combine the
internal SCSI buses or push the switch ON or up for two
separate five-drive SCSI buses. Switches 2–5 are reserved and
must remain OFF or down.
Tray Number Switch:
This switch sets the expansion box ID
using values of 0–9. The ID is used in conjunction with
system management software.
Term Power LED:
This green light is on if termination (term)
power is present. (When the term power is present indicator
is on, it indicates that the other end of the cable is connected
to a powered-on controller.) Each external bus has a separate
term power LED.
LVD/SE LED:
This green light is on if the host bus is in LVD
mode. (The default is LVD mode.) Each external bus has a
separate LVD/SE LED.
Power LED:
This green light is on when there is power to
the ESM board.
Over Temp LED:
This amber light is on if the expansion unit
overheats.
Active LED:
This green light flashes when there is activity
on the external SCSI bus. Each external bus has a separate
active LED.
