record
the
location
of
any
cables
attached
to
the
adapters.
Disconnect
any
cables
attached
to
the
adapters
and
remove
all
the
adapters

Remove
all
but
one
quad
of
memory
DIMMs
from
the
system
planar.
5.
Unplug
the
signal
and
power
cables
from
the
DASD
backplane.
6.
Unplug
the
disk
drives
from
the
DASD
backplane.
7.
Unplug
the
signal
and
power
cables
from
any
devices
in
the
media
bays.
8.
Remove
all
the
fans.
9.
Plug
the
power
cables
into
the
system
unit.
10.
Turn
on
the
power.
Does
the
power
LED
on
the
operator
panel
come
on
and
stay
on?
NO
Go
to
“Step
1521-9.”
YES

“Step

the

or
the
power
supplies
may
be
defective.
To
test
each
FRU,
exchange
the
FRUs
that
have
not
already
been
exchanged
in
the
following
order:
1.
Primary
power
supply
2.
Redundant
power
supply
(if
installed)
3.
VRM
at
U0.1-P1-V1
4.
VRM
at
U0.1-P1-V2
5.
VRM
at
U0.1-P1-V3
6.
Memory
DIMMs
7.
System
backplane.
Perform
the
following
procedures
as
you
exchange
each
of
the
above
FRUs
in
the
order
listed:
1.
Turn
off
the
power.
2.
Unplug
the
power
cable
from
the
system
unit.
3.
Exchange
one
of
the
FRUs
in
the
list.
4.
Connect
the
power
cable
to
the
system
unit.
5.
Turn
on
the
power.
Does
the
power
LED
on
the
operator
panel
come
on
and
stay
on?
NO
Reinstall
the
original
FRU.
Repeat
this
step
until
the
defective
FRU
is
identified
or
all
the
FRUs
have
been
exchanged.
If
the
symptom
did
not
change
and
all
the
FRUs
have
been
exchanged,
call
your
service
support
person
for
assistance.
