The HP DSS Workflow Status Monitor is designed for a multi-server
environment. The Status Monitor program can connect to any
HP DSS Workflow program within the network and provide a live
status-messaging stream. The status Status Monitor program offers
the following functions.

providing real-time activity and status information about any
HP DSS Workflow server
●
organizing log messages about multi-task activities within the
HP DSS Workflow server
●
filtering status messages based on message types
●
connecting to any HP DSS Workflow server for remote status
retrieval
●
searching and retrieving status messages
This section provides a description of the Status Monitor features and
capabilities.
Viewing log entries
The Status Monitor viewer is designed to collect status log
information from multiple tasks within a server and to show them on
separate monitor log tabs.
Task-status monitoring
At the start of the HP DSS Workflow Status Monitor program, connect
to the local server or to a remote HP DSS Workflow server. The local
connectivity is the default.
If the server is not currently active, status messages appear that
explain the error in connecting to the server. Otherwise a real-time log
stream from the server appears on the screen.
On the same login screen, select whether to aggregate or separate
the task status messages. If messages are aggregated, then all of the
messages from all active HP DSS Workflow tasks appear on one
screen. If messages are separated by task, then each task-log stream
appears on a separate tab.
Connecting to remote servers
Log in to a local or remote server. To connect to a remote server,
provide the remote server IP address and click OK. A TCP/IP
connection to the remote server machine is required. Connect to one
server at a time.
