Current Chai technology and XML messaging
The HP DSS Workflow is a new addition to the HP Digital Sending
Software family of products. This server is designed to work with
Chai-enabled HP MFPs.
The software seamlessly integrates with HP MFPs by using Chai
servlets that run directly on the MFPs. The Chai server within the
HP LaserJet 4100mfp and 9000mfp provides a dynamic menu
structure that contains forms, fields, and data-collection capabilities.
This structure offers the user an easy-to-use, hierarchical content-
capture interface. The Chai server within the HP LaserJet 9055mfp
and 9065mfp provides 48 programmable function keys.
For the administrator, the HP DSS Workflow interface provides a
single, easy-to-use interface to define MFP device groups, manage
function keys, create index data forms, and manage all
electronic-document capture rules. It can also be expanded to
manage content-capture requirements for all other device types in
order to create a unified content-capture platform for all business
processes.
