Figure 13-1
Motion Event Setup Screen
The following table describes the fields on the Motion Event Setup screen.
Important Note
All cameras selected
in the Record
cameras field will
store video in the
event partition.
Field Description
Enable
Enables (default) or disables the motion event option. To make changes on the
screen, this field must be enabled.
Camera 1
Options are:
Camera 1
(default) to
Camera 16
. We recommend that you leave this field at the
default setting. When you change this field (for example to Camera 3) only camera
3 is enabled in the Record cameras field.
Event Text
Changes the text (title) for the enabled camera. This text is used when you create
a report (see
) or review events (see
). To change the text, use the control buttons or jog
wheel.
Record Rate
Specify the record rate, in fields per second, that should be recorded by each
camera. Options are:
.1
,
.2
,
.5
,
1
to
16
(
10
is default),
20
to
60
in increments of five.
Note
When two or more cameras are set to Motion, the record rate is split
between them.
Reset Type
Events can be reset using one of two reset types:
Auto
. Recommended setting. When motion has stopped being detected the
software will begin a countdown for a user selectable length of time before ending
the clip. If motion is detected again during this time, the software will reset the
counter and begin the countdown again once motion is not detected. The purpose
of this is to merge together what would otherwise be several very short motion
clips.
Timed
. Motion event stops recording and re-arms after the time specified in the
Length
field.
Length
Value from
1
second to
9
minutes
59
seconds.
