Video Playback and Searching
4.
Press
Play
to start the search. You see the message
REVIEW CLIPS. Please wait while we scan the disk
…,
then the Review Clips screen displays with a list of clips. The number of event clips
and timelapse clips that were found shows at the bottom of the screen.
Autobreak
To make searching for timelapse clips easier, the HRDV16/8 has an Autobreak option that
automatically stores timelapse recording into individually searchable chunks of video. You
can set the Autobreak option to hourly, daily, 15 minutes, or no autobreak (one continuous
single clip). For more information, see
.
A setting of
Daily
creates a single daily timelapse clip for each day starting at 12:00
midnight. This allows you to do a simple search for incidences based on a particular day.
Instead of jump searching multiple 15-minute portions of hourly clips (as with the Hourly
setting) a user can scan through a single day clip using turbo mode on the jog wheel. When
viewing an incident, a reviewer can slow down and view the incident as required.
We recommend a setting of
Hourly
for systems doing timelapse recording.
If Autobreak is disabled, the timelapse clips are continuous files that could record for an
entire day or even a whole week as one timelapse clip.
Text
Search for video clips labeled Text event on Ports 1 to 4.
Time search
When selected, the HRDV only uses the time entered in the Begin field. The End
field will be disabled (
✘
) and not used. When you select
Play
, the HRDV locates a
video clip and plays from the Begin time. The video clip does not have to start at
this time; the HRDV only needs to find a clip with this time in it.
Time-lapse
Search for video clips labeled Time-lapse.
Check archive drive
Search only the archive drive.
Toggle all events
Toggle all alarm, motion and text events on and off.
