To select a cash register type:
1.
Go to the Text Parsing screen (
MENU

Parsing
).
2.
Enable
the Cash Register field. The HRDV unit looks for a cash register identification
header using data from the cash register server on the Text 1 port. This header
information is used to map the appropriate camera to the incoming text. All other text
ports are disabled. When this field is set to Disabled, all HRDV text ports are
operational for normal ASCII text input.
3.
In the Type field, select the cash register type. Current support is for IBM2110-1,
IBM2110-2, NU00008-1, and Generic cash registers.
NU00008-1 signifies a Wayne Nucleus Base 8 POS Server. See
(Dresser) Nucleus POS Cash Register Interface
for more information.
Generic is used for various cash registers and POS servers. See
Register Interface For On-site Cash Register and POS Server Programming
for more information.
4.
To display or store the POS data you must program the following additional screens:
a.
Set the correct communications parameters on the Text Port screen (
MENU
➤
System Setup
➤

).
Set the Baud rate, stop bits, data bits, and parity.
b.
Map the camera input to the appropriate input port on the Camera Setup screen
(
MENU
➤
System Setup
➤
Video Inputs
).
c.
In the Camera Enable field, select the desired camera(s).
d.
Select the Cash Register number (1 to 4). This identifies the cash register to
which the camera is mapped.
