User Access
Setting Permission Levels
You can give each user different access permissions. To change the permission levels:
1. Use the control buttons to navigate to the desired field.
2. Press Enter to enable or disable the field.
3. Press Enter to accept the changes and exit this screen.
Recovering Administrator Password
In the unlikely event that the Administrator password has been forgotten and you cannot
log on to your HRDV16/8, contact Technical Support for help in recovering the
Administrator password.
Field Description
Enable user ID If this field is disabled, that user has no access to the HRDV16/8. If you disable all
users, then the password function is disabled when you use the unit locally (you
are not prompted for a user name or password).
At least one user name must be enabled if you want to use remote access.
Administrative access If this field is disabled, that user cannot use any of the functions accessed with the
following buttons:
• MENU
• RECORD
At least one user must have administrative access enabled.
Allow remote access If this field is disabled, that user cannot use Remote Access. For more information
on remote access, refer to the
HRDV RAS User Guide .
