Step 4: Put the Anybus-X in Idle Mode
The Anybus-X powers up in Idle mode, and is controlled by the EtherNet/IP scan-
ner through the output command register. Make sure that the module is in Idle
mode by verifying that the Anybus-X Status LED is flashing green (the LED is
solid green when the module is in Run mode). If the module is not in Idle mode,
place the connected Ethernet scanner in Idle or Program mode.
Step 5: Set the DeviceNet MAC ID and Baud Rate
•
Select the
Tools
menu option and pull down menu.
•
Select the
Node Commissioning
option. Another screen appears.
•
Click on
Browse
and choose the DeviceNet network.
•
When the browse is completed, double click on the Anybus-X icon.
•
Enter the desired MAC address and/or baud rate, then click the
Apply
but-
ton.
Note:
The Anybus-X will automatically reset if a new MAC ID is entered. If only
the baud rate is changed the Anybus-X must be power cycled before the new baud
rate will take effect.
Note:
When the MAC ID is changed, the Anybus-X’s I/O configuration is
cleared.
