3. Remove the server from the chassis.
4. Remove the secondary riser blank.
Remove the secondary riser cage
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless either riser blank or
riser cage is installed.
Prerequisites
Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a T-10 Torx screwdriver available.
Procedure
2. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
3. Remove the server from the chassis.
6. If an expansion board with internal cabling is installed on the riser cage, disconnect these internal cables from the
expansion board.
7. Disconnect all cables from the riser board.
8. Remove the secondary riser cage.
