3.5.3.1 Exciter Setup
The Exciter Setup screen in Figure 3-8 is accessed from the Exciter Setup button on
the Drive Service screen. This screen provides access to some of the primary exciter
configuration parameters without having to connect an external computer to the
exciter serial port.
NOTE:
All parameters changed in this screen will be applied to both exciters simulta-
neously in a dual exciter system.

To change an exciter parameter simply tap the text window that contains the
parameter you wish to change. This will bring up the appropriate Pop-up window
which can then be used to edit the parameter. Two examples of these pop-up
windows are shown in Figure 3-9. Once the change is made, press DONE to
implement the change or CANCEL to exit the pop-up window without making any
changes.

Channel - will accept any number from 14 - 69
•
Channel Bandwidth - 6, 7 or 8 MHz
•
Coarse Offset - changes carrier frequency in +/-125kHz steps
•
Fine Offset - adds or subtracts from Coarse Offset to get desired carrier
frequency
•
Frequency - this is calculated from the channel number and the offsets
