Transmitter inlet and outlet pipe connections
•
Pump module inlet and outlet pipe connections
•
Heat exchanger inlet and outlet pipe connections
•
Test Load inlet and outlet pipe connections
•
Test Load Flow Switch inlet and outlet pipe connections
NOTE:
Check pumps for correct direction of rotation. The pump casing is marked
with an arrow indicating correct direction of rotation. If rotation is incorrect,
interchange any two of the three phase input wires and recheck the orienta-
tion.
NOTE:
The fans on the cooling coils of the Heat Exchanger should blow upwards. If
a fan motor is rotating in the wrong direction, interchange any two of the
three phases and recheck the orientation.
!
WARNING:
DISCONNECT THE PRIMARY POWER AT SOURCE BEFORE INTERCHANGING
WIRES.
Check the Cooling Control Panel status lights.
Depending on the coolant level in
the tank, there are indicators for Coolant Low and Coolant Fault. These yellow and
red LEDs should not be lit. If they are, there is insufficient coolant in the system.
Add coolant to the tank until no alarms are shown on the cooling control panel.
2.13.1.1 Setting the Transmitter Flow Rate
Check the transmitter flow rate.
Press SYSTEM, SYSTEM COOLING and
COOLING METERS. The first line shows the transmitter flow rate.
Adjust the Flow Rate if necessary.
Adjust the output valve at the pump module
until the flow rate indicated in the GUI matches the nominal flow rate of the
transmitter model as indicated in drawing 843-5550-170 (or 843-5550-213 for DVL
4300 and DVL 5700).
NOTE:
For 3 phase models, if the pump is unable to deliver the required flow rate,
check for correct wiring of the 3 AC phases. Incorrect wiring of the 3-phase
sequence would cause the pumps to operate but with much degraded perfor-
