center line while the guidezone is present. Use
the Trackball to measure the needle length.
Needle length is from the top of needle barrel
to the target.

rotated image,

observe the
probe orientation to avoid possible

B Edge Enhance
Description
Allows for the elimination of low level echoes
from the display. This is generally used to
clear noise out of vessels or cysts.
B edge enhance brings out subtle
tissue differences and boundaries by
enhancing the gray scale differences
corresponding to the edges of
structures.
Benefits
Allows for the elimination from the display
image of low level echoes caused by noise.
Edge enhance modifies the B-Mode
image by accentuating the interfaces
between organs or vessels.
Values
Off and 2 through 40 in increments of 2.
Post-processing function.
The four selections are Off, Low, Mid
and High. The default for B Edge
Enhance is set in the Set Up/Custom
Display menu page 2. Edge enhance
levels are returned to the preset value
when changes are made to the
following:
