Gateway ALR 9250R User’s Guide

Using an autoswitcher

Multiple system drawers installed in the same system cabinet can share a
single set of peripheral devices (monitor, keyboard, and mouse) through the
use of an AutoSwitcher.

The AutoSwitcher provides exclusive control of the monitor and routes the
keyboard and mouse inputs to the currently selected system drawer.
Installing the AutoSwitcher is described in the Rack-Mountable System
User’s Guide. See the illustration Connecting to an AutoSwitcher below for
example connections.
