Operating systems

The Gateway ALR 9250R is compliant with the Intel MP Specification
V1.1 or V1.4 (BIOS-selectable). The following operating systems support
symmetrical multiprocessing (SMP):

Current versions of the various operating systems are constantly changing.
Contact Gateway Technical Support for the latest information about
operating systems and supported versions.

If your operating system does not support multiprocessing, the server
adjusts the operating mode to asymmetrical, meaning only the first
processor accepts I/O interrupts. Any additional processors in the system
receive only interprocessor interrupts.
