GC32FLEX TSI
GC32FLEX/TSI SAFETY AND OPERATION MANUAL
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
Sensor Overview
The position sensor is mounted inside the control
box. The sensor attaches to the crimp head using a
Magnet mounted on a universal joint.
The GC32FLEX TSI operational interface displays
HEAD POSITION in the bottom left of the screen.
Head position is a diagnostic setting that gives
feedback on the sensors functionality without
physically looking at it.
Sensor Position
The Sensor Position reading is an indicator of
the Head position. The sensors range of units
is between 1,000 at full heads back position
and 20,000 when the head is in the fully closed
position.
When the head, hence sensor is moving during
operation the units will transition between the
specified range. The final position will be dictated
by the Set-Point and will be between the 1,000 and
20,000 unit range. The Sensor indicator should not
exceed 20,000 units or be less than 1,000 units
after Auto-Calibration is completed.
Sensor Reset Options
If the final Head Position exceeds 20,000 units or
is less than 1,000 units then an Auto-Calibration
re-set is required. To do this:
1. Turn the unit off for at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn the unit back on and press the
Green
Calibration button on the front of the Control Box.
Refer to Page 26 for Auto-Calibration instructions.
