POWER UNIT MAINTENANCE
Add oil when required
If the oil level inspection indicates oil is required, remove the filler
breather and add ISO 22 Grade oil or equivalent.
Periodically inspect oil level
Check the oil level in the reservoir after every 10 hours of use. Hydraulic
oil should be visible in the sight glass when the head is fully open.
Periodically replace oil Filter
For general shop conditions, change the oil after every 2000-3000
crimps. The drain plug is situated at the bottom of the tank. Remove the
hose and 4 bolts to lift and drain. Refer to page 31-32 for correct lifting
procedure of power unit.
Replace the filter every time the oil is changed (PN 7482-7196).
Remove the 3 bolts and lift the cover off of the filter body. Remove the
internal filter and replace.
Clean Manifold Filter
Remove the manifold internal filter and clean when the oil is replaced.
The filter is related to the operation of the dump valve inside the
manifold. Remove using a 1/8" Hex Key for the plug and a 5/32" Hex
Key for the filter. Clean using Isopropyl Alcohol and blow clear. Replace
ensuring both filter and plug are tight.
