GC32FLEX TSI

GC32FLEX/TSI SAFETY AND OPERATION MANUAL

TROUBLESHOOTING

RETRACT LIMITATION AND JOGGING

Retract Block

The GC32FLEX TSI inhibits any crimp input for 10

seconds after setpoint is reached. This period is

indicated via the Retract LED on the front panel, the

Crimp button on the Crimp interface also turns Grey

during this interval.

Jogging Function

Jogging is enabled all the way up to setpoint. The

control system has the ability to ramp up and ramp

down when a crimp is activated and deactivated.

Quick Release

The Quick Release button reverses the motor

and pump at slow speed for 2 seconds. On rare

occasions the Spring-loaded Dump valve in the

manifold may not fully open due to residual

pressure gradients. You may notice this if the

crimp head closes and is unusually slow to retract.

Pressing Quick release will reverse the pump and

create a small negative pressure in the manifold.

The aim is to neutralise any pressure gradients and

allow the Valve to open fully.

!

Momentum can be lost in the crimp which

can cause inconsistency in the final COD.

For a consistent final COD it is advised

to limit jogging and crimp in one full

movement.
