GC32FLEX/TSI SAFETY AND OPERATION MANUAL

CRIMPER GENERAL LAYOUT

LIFTING AND MOVEMENT

Lifting and slings

Ensure an appropriate lifting apparatus (Forklift or crane) is

available to lift and install the power unit onto the Crimper.
Appropriately rated slings will be required.
Power unit weight is approximately 60kg (132lbs).

Unpack

Slit the tape on the top of the carton with a sharp knife, then open

the lid.

Note:

The Power unit is shipped with the necessary oil

requirements. This has been packed in a plastic bag to contain

any spillage.

Sling

Identify the lifting eyelet on top of the power unit and position an

appropriate sling or hook though the eye.
Attach the other end of the sling/hook to a forklift or crane.

Lifting

Lift the power unit slowly out of the box, ensuring the sensor arm

does not get caught on any part of the packaging.
