USE AND MAINTENANCE
ENGLISH
attract to it the charges of opposite sign.
The electrification of a body is a physical phenomenon
that leads to an overabundance of charges of the same
sign in the previously neutral body, in our case there are
two ways to electrify a body.
By contact: a neutral conductor (air) can be charged by
placing it in contact with a second body (electrode) that
has an excess of electrical charges of the same sign.
By electrostatic induction: it occurs when a charged body
(electrode) is placed near another body (air). In this case
the charges on it are redistributed.
Operating system
The electrostatic generators base their operation on
the principle of electrostatic induction. To generate the
charges, the generators areequipped with two electrodes
(one positive and one negative) in which there is a differ-
ence in potential that can vary, depending on the models,
from 20KV to 30KV (direct voltage).
The negative electrode is electrically connected to the
metal container of the generator and from these to the
surrounding ground, by means of a conductor, thus ena-
bling the negative charges to be discharged to the ground.
The positive electrode is inserted into the outlet of the
atomiser through a high voltage cable, where the air
flow hits the electrode electrically charging with positive
charges, the air thus charged (positively) through the dif-
fusers yields the charges to the micro drops generated by
the diffusers that are attracted by the plants, depositing on
them, thus yielding the positive charge that will be can-
celled with the negative charge on the plant.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Input voltage 12V-14V negative on earth.
- 12” maximum absorbed power.
- Maximum absorbed current: 1A
- Output voltage from 3KV to 18KV on 1000Mhom load
adjustable internal trimmer
- Unladen output voltage over 20KV DC (23KV)
Inside the electrostatic box there is a 2AF fuse which may
be replaced by a technician. The model is resistant to rain
and dust but not to direct washing with high pressure noz
-
zles. Additionally they are fitted with a switch with green
LED indicator and each box has four fastening points.
Usage modes
To turn on the equipment, simply press the switch on the
box, power-on is confirmed by the green LED. To perform
shut-down, press the switch to turn off the equipment and
the LED indicator.
Warnings
When the electrostatic equipment is operating, it is recom-
mended not to touch or approach a distance less than
10cm from the polarisation plates located on the inlet of
the nebuliser.
Never remove the box cover when the equipment is oper-
ating.
Please note that an electrostatic charge may remain on
the plates even when the equipment is switched off and
that touching it may cause a momentary electrical dis-
charge to occur.
To perform maintenance of parts of the electrostatic sys-
tem it is recommended to:
1) Turn off the electrostatic equipment.
2) Discharge the plates to earth, by means of a conductor
with insulated coating.
3) Have an enabled technician perform the maintenance.
If, when pressing the switch, the equipment does not work
and the indicator does not turn on, check that:
- The power supply socket is correctly powered.
- The internal fuse in not interrupted.
6.6.11 DOCUMENT HOLDER KIT
There is a document holder kit on each of the fan kits.
This device bears the label indicating the type and amount
(percentage) of diluted agrochemicals in the tank for all
future reference.
