6.5.14 WATER BUTTON PANEL
If no computer is provided, the water button panel is used
to manage the control unit and the set of section valves.
The button panel consists of the following components:
1. main ON/OFF switch.
2. pressure valve regulator.
3. section cock closing/opening switches.
6.5.15 FAN UNIT
Each fan unit generally consists of 9 or 11 blades adjusted
so as to have optimal distribution and air flow.
They are fixed to a body, inside which a rubber slip clutch
has been fitted to prevent jolts on the PTO shafts and on
the speed overdrive when the tractor’s PTO is engaged
and disconnected.
Two adjustable air screws have been fitted at the sides
and at the bottom of the fan unit, for changing the fan’s air
flow radius (Fig. 101).
ATTENTION
DANGER OF BEING HIT BY STRAY OBJECTS
POTENTIAL SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH
All atomisers have a high speed rotations impeller.
It is required to pay attention to the effects this may
cause, such as suction and projection of foreign matter
which, albeit small-sized, may be dangerous especially
for the eyes and face, therefore never be directly ex-
posed to the air flow produced by the fan unit.
6.5.15.1 STEP-UP GEAR AXIAL PULLEY FAN UNIT
Motion transmission from the pump to the fan takes place
with a one or two-gear multiplier plus uncoupling (idle).
The fan’s rotation speed is normally 1950 RPM in first
gear and 2500 RPM in second gear in the 2-gear multipli-
er (gear ratios 1:3,6 - 1:4,6 ) and 2500 RPM in the 1-gear
multiplier (1:4,6) with PTO at a speed of 540 RPM.
Switching from one speed to the other is obtained by
means of the lever fitted on the step-up gear and acces
-
sible through the side opening in the left rear part of the
machine or remoted on the
right side. The lever has 3 or 2 positions according to the
number of gears and the central one is the idle position
(for any pump only use without the fan).
ATTENTION
The gear change lever must solely be operated with
PTO uncoupled and fan stopped. If coupling should
be hard, please slightly turn the PTO shaft manually
for the lever to take the desired position (ensure the
tractor is off).
