7.3.2 FILLING WITH SUCTION FILTER
When the three-way diverter is not fitted, it is possible to
fill the tank using the fitting on the cap of the suction filter.
For filling with the rear fitting of the filter proceed as fol
-
lows:
•
Unscrew the rear thumb screw (1) of the filter and
connect a threaded fitting G1”1/2.
•
Connect the pipe 2 with floating filter to fitting (1)
.
• Rotate the suction diverter lever (3) in CLOSED posi-
tion (4).
•
Place the other end of the tube on which the filter is
applied in the point where you intend to draw water
from.
• Move the lever of the ON/OFF valve on the mechani-
cal control unit, on the button panel or on the water or
water/oil control box in the closed/discharge position.
• If the computer is present, start the PTO releasing the
lever of the ON/OFF valve on the computer in dis-
charge position (it is not necessary to pressurise the
pump).
•
The filling speed in litres per minute equals the flow
rate of the pump. To have sufficient performance and
avoid damaging the pump membranes do not exceed
differences in height greater than 4-5 m on suction.
• Visually check the liquid level inside the tank and, upon
completing filling, stop the pump and reposition the
diverter lever (3) in working position (5) (MAIN TANK).
7.3.3 FILLING WITH ANTI-POLLUTION EJECTOR
If filling is performed with antipollution hydroejector (stand
-
ard supplied on certain models) it is required to proceed
as follows:
• Put about 20-30 L of water in the tank and start up the
pump.
•
Remove the ejector cap (1) and insert the filling tube
(2).
•
Place the other end of the tube on which the filter is
applied (3) in the ditch or point where you intend to
draw water from.
• Open the cock (green colour) feeding the ejector
(found on pump 4 or pressure regulator 5).
•
Increase the pressure to a sufficient value to achieve
liquid extraction.
• Visually check the liquid level inside the tank and,
upon completing filling, disconnect the pipe (2) from
the ejector, close the cock and place the cap back on.
ATTENTION
DANGER OF MACHINE FALLING AND DANGER OF
GETTING CAUGHT IN MOVING PARTS OF THE MA-
CHINE
POTENTIAL SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH
Using cocks on the pump or at the front of the machine
places the operator near the PTO shaft. Despite the pres-
ence of CE compliant guards, it is required to turn off the
tractor’s engine and remove the key from ignition.
