PART II OPERATION BEFORE USING THE MACHINE
■AUGER HOUSING CONTROL LEVER
Start the engine, set the throttle lever at the middle point
between " =High speed" and " =Low speed", and
check the following.
●
When pulling the auger housing control lever
backward, the auger housing rises. When pushing
the auger housing control lever forward, the auger
housing goes down.
●
Pull the
auger housing control lever toward the
operator to raise the auger housing. When

pushing the auger housing lever to the left,
the auger housing slants to the "Left".
When pushing the lever to the right,
the auger housing slants to the "Right".
●
If malfunction is found in inspection, ask your dealer immediately for
inspection and service.
■CHUTE CONTROL LEVER
Start the engine and check the following.
●
When pushing the lever forward, the chute
deflector faces "Down" (Downward=Near).
When pulling the lever backward, the chute
deflector faces "Up" (Upward=Far).
●
When pushing the lever to the right, the chute
turns "Right." When pushing the lever to the
left, the chute turns "Left".

Do not continue to operate the chute control lever with the chute or chute
deflector locked.
●
If malfunction is found in inspection, ask your dealer for inspection and service
immediately.
■COLOR OF EXHAUST GAS
Start the engine, set the throttle lever at " =High speed" position, and check the color of the exhaust gas.
●
If the exhaust gas is colorless, it is normal.
●
If black or white smoke comes out, ask your dealer for inspection and service.
