PART II OPERATION BEFORE USING THE MACHINE
※
Inspections below require operation of engine switch and engine start. Refer to "Start/Stop the engine"
(p.33-34) and carry out inspection.
●
When starting the engine indoors, open the windows for sufficient ventilation. If the place is
poorly ventilated, poisoning may occur due to exhaust gas, which is very dangerous.
●
Set the travel clutch lever at "Off" and the change lever at "N.Neutral" before starting
the engine.
●
When carrying out inspection with the engine started, never approach rotating parts and
heating parts.
●
Check if the covers are attached correctly before starting the engine.
●
When starting the engine, give a signal aloud to surrounding people.
●
Be sure to remove engine key from engine switch after stopping the engine. The engine key
may be lost and unexpected accident may occur.
■MONITOR LAMP
With the engine stopped, set the engine key at "Run" position and check the following.
●
Check if the engine oil lamp lights up.
●
Check if the travel clutch lamp lights up when the
travel clutch lever is set at "On". Check if the lamp
goes off when the lever is set at "Off".
●

operation, stop the engine immediately, and ask your dealer for inspection and service.
●
When each lamp does not light up correctly, ask your dealer for inspection and service.
■TRAVEL CLUTCH LEVER
●
If malfunction is found in inspection, ask your dealer for service immediately.
