PART III INSPECTION AND SERVICE

5．REPLACEMENT OF SHEAR BOLT

●

When replacing shear bolt, stop the engine and make sure the auger and blower have
stopped rotating completely.

●

If you do not have skill and experience, do not replace shear bolt by yourself.

●

Shear bolt is a safety device which prevents damage to the machine by breaking when receiving
strong impact from clogging snow, hard stone, foreign object, etc.

■REPLACEMENT OF AUGER SHEAR BOLT

(1)

Set the work clutch lever and travel clutch
lever at "Off", and stop the engine.

(2)

Make sure the auger and blower have stopped
rotating completely. Then, remove snow and
foreign objects.

(3)

Insert the genuine bolt from auger mission
flange side and fix it securely with U nut.

●

Use genuine bolt only. Otherwise,

the machine may be damaged.

●

Tighten the shear bolt securely.
If the tightening is weak, the bolt
may be loosened and broken easily.

■REPLACEMENT OF BLOWER SHEAR BOLT

(1)

Set the work clutch lever and travel clutch lever
at "Off", and stop the engine.

(2)

Make sure the auger and blower have stopped
rotating completely. Then, remove snow and
foreign objects.

(3)

Insert genuine bolt and spring washer from

the front side of flange and fix it firmly with

the nut.
