Basic Operation

Turning On the Printer

IMPORTANT: 

•

Do not use extension cords or power strips.

•

Do not connect the printer to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system.

Connect one end of the power cord to the power connector on the rear of the printer (see 

"Rear 

View" on page 41

).

2

Connect the other end to a power source.

3

Turn on the printer.

NOTE: 

•

When you turn on the printer for the first time, follow the on-screen instructions on the LCD panel to 
configure the initial settings of your printer.
