8.18 Changing the scoring blade „Automatic“

8.17.1 Adjusting the width „Automatic“
Required tools:
• Allen key 2,5 mm
• Screwdriver
The width of the „Automatic“ scoring blade is continu-
ously variable.
Adjusting the cutting width:
1.
Twist the setscrew with the Allen key in the „OPEN“
direction.
2.
Turn the adjusting screw with the screwdriver in the
direction of the „+“ or „-“ arrows, depending on the
variation of the desired cutting length.
The adjusting screw is equipped with a fine-pitch
thread. One turn corresponds to a cutting width ad-
justment of 0.5 mm.
3.
To clamp both parts, tighten the setscrew with the
Allen key in the „CLOSED“ direction.

Attention! Only twist the adjusting screw if the clamping screw is loose!
Only adjust the width of the scoring blade so the saw-teeth of both scoring blades still overlap. Rec-
ommendation: Maximum cutting width of 3.6 mm.
Attention: If working without a scoring unit, install the protector tube to prevent resinous residue building up.
Required tools:
• Allen key 10 mm
• Special spanner
1.
Preparing to change tooling.
2.
Place the special spanner onto the mounting nut.
3.
Hold the scoring arbor in place with the socket span-
ner and loosen, anti-clockwise direction, the mount-
ing nut with the special spanner.
4.
Remove the mounting nut and tube protector.
5.
Adjust the scoring blade.
