8.13.2 Modifying the saw guard

The saw guard is mounted onto the splitter.
The mounting depends on the diameter of the saw blade.
• Saw blade recess from 300 up to 315 mm
• Saw blade recess from 250 up to 300 mm
Use the overhead saw guard if the diameter of the saw
blade exceeds 315 mm.
1.
Loosen the thumb nut.
2.
Press the hood stud forwards with the thumb nut.
3.
Circular saw guard Remove the saw guard and insert
it into the other recess.
4.
Secure the thumb nut.

Use the wide saw guard instead of the narrow saw
guard for angular cuts.
1.
Press the retaining flaps in.
2.
Pull the saw guard downwards from the fixture.
3.
Insert the other saw guard into the fixture from the
bottom.
4.
Push the saw guard right to the top. Ensure that the
retaining flaps snap into place.
