Festo – DNCE – 1109e English
For installation in a vertical or inclined position:
Warning
Uncontrolled moving masses can cause injury to
people or damage to property (squeezing).
If there is a spindle nut fracture inside the DNCE or
a toothed belt breaks
when using parallel kit EAMM-...-U (e. g. due to
wear), the work mass will fall down.
•
Check whether additional external safety
measures against spindle nut fracture are
necessary (e.g. toothed latches or moving
bolts). In this way you can prevent the work
mass from sliding down.
•
Examine the toothed belt of the parallel kit
regularly for wear
(
Parallel kit assembly instructions).

Installing the effective load
•
Place the centre of gravity of the work load if possible cent-
rically to the piston rod.
•
Fasten the work load to the piston rod.
The wrench flat

can be used for counter holding.
The piston rod will bend depending on the effective load
(
diagrams in the appendix “Characteristic curves”).

Effective loads with their own guide (e. g. with FENG):
•
Adjust the guide of the effective load and of the DNCE so
that they are exactly parallel. You will then avoid
overloading the guide (wear).
•
Avoid collision between the guide and tubing of the
pressure compensation opening (only for DNCE-...-P5).
•
If necessary, turn the motor unit MTR-DCI in the coupling
housing (
Motor mounting kit assembly instructions).
