Cable Mode:
Select
Cable Mode
if the
Interface Type
is Electrical.
Choices are
Auto Detect

Manual
. If
Manual
is selected, go to
the next field and select the type of cable (
MDI
for straight through,
MDIX
for crossover).
Note:
Cable Mode is not available when Auto-Negotiation is enabled.
Clock Mode
: Displays the mode of the clock when
10G LAN
interface type is selected.
Recovered:
Live clock from the optical port input signal involved
in the tool. Recovered is the only available clock with
Loopback
test.
Frequency (MHz)
: Indicates the frequency of the input signal in
MHz
. When no frequency reading is possible, “
--
” is displayed.

Auto-Negotiation:
Enable
Auto-Negotiation
, if the remote
connected port is also set to
Auto-Negotiation
, otherwise it should
be disabled. This is available only with the
10/100/1000 Mbit/s

interface.
Speed
: Select the

of the interface. This is available only with

interface.

Speed is not available for optical interfaces.

beside the speed configuration parameter.
Duplex
: Select the
Duplex
mode when
Auto-Negotiation

Enabled
. For
10 Mbit/s
and
100 Mbit/s
electrical interfaces,
choices are
Full
(default), and
Auto
. For
1000 Mbit/s
electrical
interface, the duplex is set to
Full
.
