A straight-through 9-pin serial cable (not a null modem cable)

Terminal emulation software, such as HyperTerminal

Power off the autoloader and disconnect the power cord.

Connect the 9-pin cable to the back of the autoloader and to the host
computer.

Setting the Autoloader’s Baud Rate
Before accessing Console, you must set the baud rate for the autoloader so that
it matches the host computer’s baud rate.
To set the autoloader’s baud rate:
