Secure the end of the card to the back of the computer with
the retaining screw.

Follow the instructions in Chapter 5 to replace the cover.

See “Post-installation Setup” at the end of this chapter to
configure your computer to operate with the option card.
Removing an Option Card
If you need to remove an option card, follow these steps:
1.
First, remove the cover from the computer. See Chapter 5
for instructions.
2.
Remove the screw securing the card to the back of the
computer and pull it straight up and out of the slot. Either
set the card aside by placing it gently on a soft surface with
the component side facing up or carefully wrap the card,
preferably with the original packing materials, and place it
inside its box for safe storage.
3.
Cover the end of the empty option slot with the original
metal cover and secure it with the retaining screw.
