2.1.1.5 Image Transfer
The electrode comb is an image transfer system that transfers the toner image on the PC drum onto
the paper.
2.1.1.6 Fusing
The toner image transferred onto the paper is fixed securely using a heat roller system as the fusing
system. The upper fusing roller, which is heated by the heater lamp, fuses the toner image, which is
securely fixed by the pressure between the upper and lower fusing rollers. Thermistor TH1 detects
and controls the temperature of the upper fusing roller. Thermal fuse TF1 blows when the
temperature exceeds 200
°
C, shutting down power to the heater lamp.
