3.2 PROGRAMMING THE AS32M
3.2.1 DESCRIPTION OF SCREENS AREAS AND KEYS
The keyboard is located under the LCD. The bottom line of the LCD shows the function of each key for
the current screen. The display screen is white on a blue background, with selected menus or fields
displayed in reverse with blue on a white background. By default, the first line of the menu is selected
until another menu or field is chosen.
In the next sections of the manual, the selected fields are symbolized in white on black background.
3.2.1.1 Description of screen areas

Information area: displays the date and time in the top left corner. In the top right corner, the
“WARM UP”, “REFERENCE”, or “AUTO-CALIBRATION” messages blink. The “ALARM”
message appears if an operating fault is detected among the instrument operating
parameters.

Measurement or configuration area: displays the measurements (gas, value, units) or the
programmable parameters associated with the selected menu.
 Status area and key functions: displays the function of keys, analyzer operating mode, and
