1.1.2.2 Rear
panel
All of the AS32M electrical connectors and gas inlets/outlets are located on the rear panel.
Gas inlets/outlets (right-hand side of the rear panel):
AS32M Standard model (see Figure 1–3):
The inlet for the sample to be analyzed (1) is composed of a fitting for a 4 mm (I.D.) and 6 mm
(O.D.) Teflon tube attached to the dust filter holder. The dust filter holder is equipped with a
Teflon filtering diaphragm called dust filter.
The pump outlet (3) to exhaust the analyzed sample consists of a 4 mm (I.D.) and 6 mm
(O.D.) Teflon fitting.
AS32M equipped with the solenoid valve option (see Figure 1–4):
The inlet for the sample to be analyzed (1) is composed of a fitting for a 4 mm (I.D.) and 6 mm
(O.D.) Teflon tube attached to the dust filter holder. The dust filter holder is equipped with a
Teflon filtering diaphragm called dust filter.
The pump outlet (3) to exhaust the analyzed sample consists of a 4 mm (I.D.) and 6 mm
(O.D.) Teflon fitting.
The span gas inlet (4) consists of a 4 mm (I.D.) and 6 mm (O.D.) Teflon fitting to connect an
outside span gas delivered at atmospheric pressure.
The zero air inlet (2) can be fitted with a zero air filter (12) or can be connected to an external
zero air generator.
AS32M equipped with the permeation bench option (see Figure 1–5):
The inlet for the sample to be analyzed (1) is composed of a fitting for a 4 mm (I.D.) and 6 mm
(O.D.) Teflon tube attached to the dust filter holder. The dust filter holder is equipped with a
Teflon filtering diaphragm called dust filter.
The pump outlet (3) to exhaust the analyzed sample consists of a 4 mm (I.D.) and 6 mm
(O.D.) Teflon fitting. This outlet should be connected to a filter cartridge containing active
carbon.
The « span gas inlet » is stopped up.
The "zero air inlet" (2) may be fitted with a zero air filter (12) or be connected to an external
zero air generator.
The "Zero air" inlet to supply the permeation bench. This inlet will be connected to external
dried zero air and delivered at the atmospheric pressure.
Electrical equipment and connections (left-hand side of the rear panel).
The equipments
described below are common to the three versions of AS32M:
One mains power supply block consisting of a three-contact socket (6) to connect a standard
power cable and the general fuse (5): 1 A/230 V or 2 A/115 V (5).
One standard 25-pin DB25 plug (7) for serial links COM1 (RS232C – RS422) and COM 2
(RS232C) (see Table 3-1 – DB37 and DB25 connector links).
One standard 37-pin DB37 plug (8), if the ESTEL option is available (see Table 3-1 – DB37
and DB25 connector links).
One Ethernet output (10) and one USB port (11).
Ventilation device :
Internal aeration is done with a fan controlled by the module board based on the internal temperature
of the analyzer (9).
