MST ID:
Displays the ID of the MST group that is
created. A maximum of 15 groups can be set
for the Switch.
VLAN List:
Enter the VLAN ID range from for the
configured VLANs to associate with the MST
ID.
The VLAN ID number range is from 1 to 4094.
Priority:
Select the bridge priority value for the MST.
When Switches or bridges are running STP,
each is assigned a priority. After exchanging
BPDUs, the Switch with the lowest priority
value becomes the root bridge. The default
value is: 32768. The range is from 0-61440.
The bridge priority is a multiple of 4096.
Regional Root
Bridge:
This is the bridge identifier of the CST Region
-
al Root. It is made up using the bridge priority
and the base MAC address of the bridge.
Internal Root
Cost:
Displays the path cost to the designated root
for the MST instance.
Designated
Bridge:
Displays the bridge identifier of the bridge
with the Designated Port. It is made up using
the bridge priority and the base MAC address
of the bridge.
Root Port:
Displays the port that accesses the designat-
ed root for MST instance.
Configuration
Name:
This name uniquely identifies the MSTI (Multi
-
ple Spanning Tree Instance). Enter a descrip-
tive name (up to 32 characters) for an MST
region. The default is the MAC address name
of the device running MSTP.
Configuration
Reversion:
This value, along with the Configuration
Name, identifies the MSTP region configured
on the Switch. Devices must have the same
revision number to belong to the same region.
