Remote Workstation Installation
HP-UX Workstations
This section describes the procedures for installing Connectrix
Manager on a remote HP-UX workstation. To run the Connectrix
Manager on a remote workstation, you must first download and
install the Connectrix Manager application from the Connectrix
service processor.
The HP-UX client has been designed to execute on a workstation with a local
graphics adapter. This client has not been designed to work remotely with
the Export Display function.
Requirements The download and installation process requires the use of a PC with
the following minimum system requirements:
• Operating system: HP-UX 11
• 360 MHz HA PA-RISC processor
• 32 MB RAM
• 15 MB available disk space
• Video card supporting 256 colors at 800 x 600 resolution
• Ethernet network adapter
• Java-enabled Internet browser, such as Microsoft Internet
Explorer (version 3.0 or later) or Netscape Navigator (version 3.0
or later)
The HP-UX client has been designed to run on a workstation with a
graphics adapter. It has not been designed to run remotely using the
Export Display
function.
HP-UX Patch
Requirements for
Connectrix
Manager 2.0 Operating system patches should be installed before you install the
software. To determine which patches have been installed on your
machine, login as root and check your machine with /usr/sbin/swlist
