START UP / SHUTDOWN
3.3.1
Starting up
3.3.1.1
Preliminary operations
Before being started up, the IDR
IDO 3G must be:
• loaded with the nominal software in the 3G PA-TRX module (TPS application,
see Document [1]),
• be customised using the configuration tool (TPS application, see Document [1]),
• be initialised with a licence file to authorise the transmission of data in IDR mode on the
terminals and/or the interconnection of the IDR
see Document [1]).
The connections described in Section 3.2.3 must have been carried out.
3.3.1.2
Starting up
• Set the “I/O” switch (item 2 or 9) on the primary convertor to “I”.
• The IDR
IDO 3G starts with the parameters configured before it was switched off.
3.3.1.3
Selection of the IDR IDO 3G channel
A channel is selected manually from the list of authorised channels: the channel is selected
by the operator using the control and configuration web interface (see Section 3.4.2).
3.3.1.4
Selecting the transmit power level
• Select the transmission power level from the power levels available using the control
and configuration web interface (see Section 3.4.3).
3.3.1.5
Enabling / disabling transmission
• Activate the transmission using the control and configuration web interface
(see Section 3.4.4).
The yellow TX LED of the 3G PA-TRX module indicating the transmission state lights
up.
The green TX LED of the duplexer indicating the transmission state lights up. If no fault
appears, the alarm loop closes.
• Deactivate the transmission using the control and configuration web interface
(see Section 3.4.4).
3.3.2
Shutting down
• Set the “I/O” switch (see Plate 6.IV, item 2 or 9) on the primary convertor to “O”.
CAUTION: Users must be informed of the channel number chosen in order to
be able to select the same channel on their terminal and thus
communicate in IDR mode.
