The amplified RF signal is then transmitted to the insulator.
The function of the insulator is:
• to transmit the incoming power to the duplexer, with a minimum of loss,
• to direct the reflected power to the 50
Ω
load of the 3G PA-TRX module.
The duplexer then routes the RF signal to the antenna which transmits it to the terminals.
Signal routing is carried out by a bandpass filter whose function is to select the
transmission band and to attenuate harmonics outside the band, in particular those likely to
disturb the reception chain.

Power supply sources
The IDR IDO 3G is powered up using the “I/O” switch (see Plate 6.IV, item 2 or 9) of the
primary convertor.
The IDR IDO 3G may be powered by the following power sources:
• the 100-240 V AC, 50-60 Hz wide input range mains,
• by a 12-24 V DC direct external power supply.
The mains power cable is connected to the primary mains convertor's socket.
The primary DC convertor power cable is connected to the “12-24V IN” socket of the
primary DC convertor via the DC power supply connector. An external DC source power
cable must be used (not supplied).
