DEFINITIONS
LCN
Code used to identify an element and its position in the logistic tree structure.
Main service
The main service of the IDR IDO 3G is to provide the repeater function.
Maintenance levels
• O level (Organisational)
This level covers fault isolation and replacement of defective sub-assemblies in the field
by end users or general maintenance personnel, using standard or easy-to-use
maintenance tools.
Example:
Replacing a board in a cabinet or replacing the battery of a terminal.
• I level (Intermediate)
This level covers fault isolation and replacement of defective sub-assemblies, complex
fault and failure isolation, carried out at a regional level by specialists using specific
tools.
Example:
Replacement of a cable in a cabinet or replacement of a board in a terminal.
• D level (Depot)
This level covers the repair of defective sub-assembly components. It is generally
carried out in the manufacturer’s repair center (or the customer’s repair center if the
maintenance responsibility has been transferred) using test and repair benches.
Example:
Repair of a board component.
3G PA-TRX
The 3G PA-TRX module integrated into a IDR IDO 3G is different from those used in a
T-BS 400 radio cabinet. The modules cannot therefore be interchanged between IDR IDO
and T-BS 400.
Primary convertor
Primary convertor of the IDR IDO 3G rack:
• 100-240 V AC / 12/48 V DC mains convertor module
or
• 12-24 V DC / 12/48 V DC direct convertor module.
