SP function
The SP board carries out the following functions:
• reception function, performing the demodulation of the IF signal(s) received from the
RX1 receiver (and RX2 receiver for antenna diversity option),
• transmission function performing the reception loopback on transmission for
transmittion to the TX transmitter,
• IP interface function with a remote control and configuration PC with Internet browser,
• IP interface function with another IDR IDO 3G (option),
• commands controlling:
- the transmitter:
X
programming the TX transmitter frequency synthesizer,
X
TX transmitter on / off control,
X
TX transmitter power supply standby,
- the receiver:
X
programming of the RX1 receiver (and RX2 receiver for antenna diversity option)
frequency synthesiser programming,
- the PA:
X
PA carrier setting,
• time base function, supplying various internal clocks from the 20 ms HS clock and 64
kHz frequency HT clock,
• defence function via alarm management:
- radio alarms:
X
transmission synthesizer lock alarm,
X
RX1 reception synthesizer lock alarm,
X
RX2 reception synthesiser locking alarm (for antenna diversity option),
X
LO2 common synthesizer lock alarm,
X
PA function temperature alarm,
X
PA function power alarm,
X
FLASH EPROM memory alarm (backup memory for module radio configuration
parameters and system parameters),
- software alarms:
If there is a software trap, the 3G PA-TRX module resets. A trap context is saved in
the SP board memory and can be recovered using a maintenance tool (reserved for
manufacturer),
• function to manage alarms from the SYNCHRO board,
• test function to observer the behaviour of the 3G PA-TRX module and to carry out the
tests using a maintenance tool (reserved for the manufacturer),
• 3G PA-TRX module configuration function.
It involves storing the radio and system parameters necessary for the module to operate
in a FLASH EPROM, using a maintenance tool (reserved for the manufacturer)
connected on the front panel of the 3G PA-TRX module,
