NSTALLATION
The Linx belt drive system synchronizes the speed of the front and rear drums for
testing sensitive all-wheel drive and two-wheel drive vehicles with traction control
while the atra flex system reduces vibration and wear on the drive system.
The Linx belt drive system is designed for all-wheel drive vehicles. The Linx belt drive
system keeps the driving wheels of an all-wheel drive vehicle spinning at the same
speed to avoid driveline damage. When the Linx is used with two-wheel drive vehicles
to spin the non-driving wheels for the purpose of not throwing codes, extra attention
will be needed for the proper adjustment of the Linx belt.
Always monitor the front and rear drum speed with every vehicle tested. When the drum
speed starts to vary more than a couple of miles per hour, belt adjustment is needed.
This document is designed to help you install the Linx with Atra Flex system on your
model 424 automotive dyno. To ensure safety and accuracy in the procedures,
perform the procedures as they are described.
