Outer Carrier Bearing Installation

Version 3

Linx with Atra Flex Installation for Model 424 Automotive Dynamometers

OUTER CARRIER BEARING INSTALLATION

Use the following instructions to install the outer carrier bearing for both the movable 
and stationary dynos.

You will need the following parts:

• 32300009 Bearing Bore (2)
• 32300010

Bearing Flange (4)

• BR102-058 Bolt, 1/2-13 x 1, Hex (8)

Assemble the bearing flanges and bearing bore as shown in Figure 24.

Loosely secure the bearing flanges and bearing bore using four 1/2-13 x 1-inch hex 
bolts.

Lock the outer carrier bearing lock collar by turning the collar with a punch and 
tightening the set screw.

Verify the bearing is lined up on the shaft sleeve. Do not tighten the set 
screw on the splines or sleeve edge.
