Entering
Characters
On the Character Entry (Edit) display, information or guidance for the current input mode is displayed as
follows: You can set the guidance not to be displayed. (See page 510)
With the FOMA phone, you can use the keys to enter characters.

Displayed when you can convert characters by pressing .

All Find ： Displayed on the Phonebook Search display when you can
search for entries by pressing . (See page 105)
Area
：
Displayed when you copy (cut) characters.

：
You can switch between uppercase and lowercase by pressing

CR
：
Press and hold for at least one second to start a new
line. (See page 514)
•Displayed when you are entering the main text for SMS, or
editing header, signature or quotation mark.
•Even if “ CR” is not displayed, you might be able to start
a new line, for instance, when you are entering the main text
for i-mode mail.
•You cannot start a new line when you are editing a free memo.
Fix mode Fix END
：
Displayed in Mode 3 (T9 input method), when you can switch
between T9 input and Fix mode by pressing .
