Probable cause
Resolution
Unit does not have proper
APN entered
If the proper APN is not entered, the device will not receive a Mobile IP
Address. On the
Administration
>
Mobile Status
page, the following
status information displays:
n
Mobile IP Address
is blank.
n
SIM IMSI
,
SIM ICCID
and
SIM PIN status
fields will display
values.
n
Signal strength
is
good
.
n
Connection error
displays
Not registered.
For LTE, the error
may be
Not registered
or
Network call error
.
n
Disconnect reason
displays as
Carrier loss
for GSM. For LTE,
the
Carrier loss
reason may not display.
n
Connections
and
Connection errors
are incrementing.
Ensure that the proper APN is entered by verifying the name entered
under
Configuration
>
Mobile Connectivity
and possibly verifying with
the provider. Also, the provider may require a user name and password.
Troubleshooting XBee Industrial Gateway GSM and LTE devices
If your device fails to connect to the cellular network, log in to the XBee Industrial Gateway web
interface, and click
Mobile Status
under
Administration
. From the
Mobile Status
page, you can
examine the connection status.
